What does ‘Designed for students’ mean?

Students study plenty solo, but increasingly they are being taught to collaborate in small teams. An effective student living facility provides quiet private areas as well as space and surface area to spread out papers and laptops and materials when students work together (whether virtually or in person). Fresh air, natural light, and outdoor areas are important too. The best companies in the world have learned that smart (but cool) environmental design leads to happier campers and in turn, better results. We designed our common areas with the same goal in mind.

On the other side of the building…we have the bedrooms. The Laurel houses 7 rooms - singles and doubles. All bedrooms:

• Have private bathrooms.

• Have ductless AC/heating “split units” independent to each room - this means the air used for AC & heating is not being circulated between rooms.

• Are on the second-floor of a three-story building (the third floor is a 400 square foot rooftop patio for the exclusive use of The Laurel residents).

• Have at least one large south-facing window measuring 3 feet by 6 feet.
